Birdie Brown Hey Pumpkin!

Finally made a card with this month's freebie of Birdie Brown. A really cute scarecrow with a pumpkin, called "Hey Pumpkin".
Only some sad news on the blog, she's going to quit with her artwork for Birdie Brown. Too bad, because I really like her work.
So I took the chance to play with the last freebie :) Hopefully someday in the future she'll return with her wonderful artwork!

Eindelijk een kaart gemaakt met de freebie van deze maand van Birdie Brown. Deze leukerd heet "Hey Pumpkin". Jammer genoeg is het de laatste freebie want ze gaat stoppen met haar werk voor Birdie Brown. Zo jammer want ik vind haar werk echt heel erg leuk! Hopelijk komt ze in de toekomst weer terug met haar geweldige tekenwerk!

Time to Party

Weer lekker gekliederd met de nieuwe sketch van Sketchabilities #101. Vind het mixed media erg leuk om te doen en vind het ook erg leuk om te experimenteren met van alles en nog wat.
De sketch heeft dus 3 foto's en die had ik eerst ook, ware het niet dat ik per ongeluk mijn inkttool op een foto had gezet, oeps! Hahahaha, dan maar 2 foto's, foto was niet meer te redden zat een grote vlek overheen die er niet meer afging. Zo waren er wel meer dingen die niet gingen zoals ik had bedacht maar ja, dat geeft niet. Komt vanzelf wel goed, dat is ook de charme van scrapbooken denk ik.
Foto is gemaakt tijdens een feestje met mijn beste vriendinnen. Samen lekker feestje vieren :)

My take on the new sketch of Sketchabilities #101! Really like to do the mixed media stuff and experiment with all kind of things.
The sketch has got 3 pictures but I ended up with 2 because I was so clever to put my ink-tool on top of one. It had a stain that didn't go off anymore, oops! In the end it turned out fine because there always be things that don't go as planned, I guess that's the charm of scrapbooking :)

Meljen's Designs #183 Fa-BOO-Lous

Welcome to a new challenge on Meljen's Designs!! This week "Fa-BOO-Lous": create a spooktaculair Halloween project, you can make anything what you want but no card.
This was my chance to make the Haunted Mansion from the Maple Manor kit from SVG Cuts. Since I saw that house I wanted to make it. It was a lot of work but I so love the result!!
I've resized a couple of images of Meljen's Designs (Bibble Bubble Cauldron, Cat O Lantern, Little Top Hat Cat and Pumpkin Pile) so they would fit in the house.
You can lift the toproof, and the back had has a flap, so you can put a light in it.
It measures about 30 cm in widht, 35 cm in height and it's about 22 cm deep.
To finish it off, I've put some fake cobweb on the house to give it a more creepier look.

Tim Holtz Tags 2013-october

Mijn tag voor deze maand voor de Tim Holtz challenge Tags of 2013. Deze maand uiteraard een op Halloween gebaseerde tag. Weer lekker aan het kliederen geweest met van alles en nog wat. De maan en uil heb ik nagetekend en toen uit dun karton uitgeknipt want deze dies heb ik niet. Vind ze wel goed gelukt :)
Daarna met inkt bewerkt, glossy accents erop en toen flink met glitter los gegaan. Vind nu nog glitter op mijn buro hahaha.
Achtergrond heb ik met de distress inkt gemaakt want de paint heb ik niet. Ook met allerlei sprays, zelf gemaakt met pigmentpoeder, er overheen gegaan. Misschien is dat bij de detail foto wel goed te zien. De tag glimt dus heel mooi maar dat zie je jammer genoeg niet zo goed op de foto.
Nog 2 tags te gaan en dan is mijn jaar compleet :)

I've cut the owl and moon myself. I don't have this dies so I drew them on thin cardboard and them cut them out.

Lacy Sunshine: Emily

De freebie voor deze keer van Lacy Sunshine: Emily's Windy Autumn Day. Deze keer voor de challenge een kaart in herfstkleuren.
Papier heb ik uit een doos vandaan die ik een keer heb overgekocht van iemand. Volgens mij zijn ze van DCWV. Het is heel grappig papier waar een draad in zit geweven en dat geeft de structuur aan het papier wat je op de foto kan zien.
Afbeelding is weer gekleurd met Prisma kleurpotloden.

My entry for Lacy Sunshine's challenge: fallcolours. I've used the freebie for this challenge: Emily's Windy Autumn Day. Papers are, I think, from DCWV and I really like them because they've got a thread woven in that gives that structure you see in the picture.

DT day at Meljen's Designs

Hi everyone!
Today it's my turn again to show you something and hopefully give you some inspiration to make your own beautiful project with images of Meljen's Designs!
At first I had no idea what to show you but then I decided to show you a card I made last year for Meljen's Designs.
It's almost Halloween and I absolutely love Halloween eventhough we don't celebrate it here in The Netherlands. I love everything about Halloween, but I really like vampires and zombies so I was really happy when Melissa introduced two zombies to the Meljen's Designsfamily last Halloween.
Here they are: meet Zombie Stu and his girlfriend Zombie Stella!!

Aren't they the cutest? :) Stu only has eyes for Stella as you can see in the inside of the card LOL
(This image is the Jar Of Eyeballs, which was also introduced last Halloween.)
