MD #252 recipe challenge

Welcome to a new challenge at the Meljen's Designteam and Challengeblog! This week we've got a recipe challenge for you. Use the following on your card: 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments.
For my card this week I've used "A Little Zen", I think he's really cute with his bald head :)
(My embellishments are the pearls, the flowers and the pieces of bling on my card.)

DT day at Meljen's Designs!

Hi everone!
Because this DT is going to stop by the end of the month I've decided to take a trip down memory lane. I thought it is only fitting to show my all time favourite projects I've made with the stamps of Meljen's Designs.
I've been part of this wonderful team for 2 and a half years and I loved everye minute of it. I'm sure going to miss my wonderful DT girlies, Melissa and her fabulous stamps and all the fun I had here.
I've picked 5 things, and I"m showing these not in any particular order. I just like these the most :)

The mouse and wordart which I asked for :)

 My haunted house, made with a kit from SVG Cuts and for the finishing touch some digi's  that fitted into the house.

 My polymerclay Steampunk cupcake

 A painting with the cute Stuffed Reindeer image

 And last but nog least, this Victorian Goth girl. She was inspired by one of my Steampunk costumes, so it was a big honour that Melissa used me as an inspiration for a stamp :)

I hope you liked to see my favourite projects of the past 2 and a half years. Although I won't be designing anymore for Meljen's Designs, I will be using her images because she'll always be one of my favourite stampcompanies.

DT -day at Meljen's Designs

Hi everyone!
Today it's my turn again to show you something I've made with one of the wonderful images of Meljen's Designs. The funny thing is, I had the same idea as Tracie, I also made a shaker card :)
I've used "Lil' Love Devil" because I wanted to make something for Valentine. I made this shakercard but I've made the shaker part on the front of the card.
I've cut two pieces of cardboard in a frame shape, glued them on top of each other and then glued a piece of transparancy on it in the same size as my frame.
I've put some sequins inside and then glued my image to the back, and so created a shakerbox to put on the front of my card.
To give the edges color, I've taped all the sides with pieces of washi tape along the edges and front side of the shakerbox.

MD #246 Sketch

Thursday, so time for a new challenge at the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog. This week we've got a sketch for you created by our DT member Amy.
For the sketch I've used "Fluffy Baby Penguin". My card is for a collegue of my husband, he and his wife are now the proud parents of a beautiful babyboy.

MD #244 Let it snow!!

Welcome to a new challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog! This week: "Let it snow".
We would love to see a card with a wintery theme on it.
For my card this week I've used "Cozy Winter Owl" and though it would be fun to use different colours for my papers instead of the usual blue and white for a snowy theme.
You can use any image you want for this challenge, but don't forget that using a Meljen's Designs image gives you another entry in the drawing for the prizes!!

Challenge #242 Winter Color Challenge

Welcome to a new fun challenge at Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog!! This week we've got a beautiful colour palette for you to work with.
For my card I've used "Yeti Cocoa", I find him adorable with those cute feet.
For the challenge you can use any design you want, but remember when you use an image of Meljen's Designs you get 2 entries instead of 1 in the random drawing for the prizes!!

MD #240 It's a Wrap!

Welcome to the last challenge for this year on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog! After this challenge all the Meljen's Girls are going to enjoy the holidays for a couple of weeks. The new challenge will start in the new year on january first!
I really like this last challenge of the year, you've got to use wrappingpaper on your project. I found a little piece of birthday wrapping paper and used this. I picked "Gift Boxes" from the digital shop of Meljen's Designs for my card and coloured them up with my Prisma's to match the wrappingpaper.

Don't forget when you use an image of Meljen's Designs you'll get 2 entries to win one of the prizes.

Meljen's #238 Tags

Welcome to a new fun challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog! This week it's "Tags" for you. We would like to see a tag or a card with a tag on it.
I've made a tag and used "Pretty Poinsettia" on it. I've fuzzy cutted this image tree times,  between the layers I've put 3D tape to give it more depth. I've used two colours embossing powders and stamps on my tag and then coloured it with  inksprays. As a last step I've stamped some snowflakes on it and used glitter embossingpowder on them.

MD #234 Peek-a-Boo!!

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to a new fangtastic challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog!!!
This week: "Peek-a-Boo", use a hidden message or element on your project.
Because it's almost Halloween, I made a Halloweencard, I love Halloween!!
I've used "Vampy Witch" on my card and Melissa was inspired to draw her when she saw Hotel Transylvania with a cute girl called Mavis in it. Absolutely one of my favourite movies to watch!!
My hidden element can be found behind the image. I've put a little magnet in it so it doesn't fall open by itself.

DT day at Meljen's Designs

Hi everyone!
I was thinking what I could make for you to show here and then I remembered Melissa made some adorable sugarskulls.
I love sugarskulls as long as I can remember. My birthday is november 1st so that's where the love is coming from. As a kid I found out that they celebrate Dia de los Muertos on november 1st so I always wanted to live in Mexico to celebrate my birthday LOL
I made some gift tags with these cute sugarskulls. You can find them in the digital shop of Meljen's Designs here, here and here. These tags were really easy to make. I've used different spray inks and a mask with modelling paste to make the texture.

MD #228 Karaoke

Hi everyone!! It's time for a new challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog!! This week it's Karaoke time! You've got to pick a song and use this as a inspiration for your card.
I've picked "Happy" from Pharrell Williams, eventhough I've heard it a 1000 times I still like it and it makes me happy to listen to it.
For my card I've used "Sunny Day Flower" because a sunflower always makes me happy to see. I love the bright yellow of them!

You can now enter the challenges with any image you like but when you use an image of Meljen's Designs you'll get an extra entry and the chance of winning 2 images of your choice.

DT day at Meljen's Designs

Hi everyone!!
I had lost my inspiration this week but luckily there's Pinterest. I couldn't think of anything to make for my blogpost for today so I went browsing on Pinterest and found this cute milkcarton.
It's really easy to make and it makes a perfect last minute gift.

I've used "Berry Happy" on my milkcarton and fuzzycutted the strawberry so it popped a little more. I've decorated my milkcarton with a big flower and some leaves, punched two holes in the top and put a ribbon through it. Before you tie it closed, you can fill it with little treats of your choice like sweats or cookies.
(If you want you could even make a little window in it, so you can see what's inside)
Don't forget to take a look at the shop because Melissa gave the shop a fabulous make-over!! In honour of the shop upgrade she's got a sale going on!

MD #226 School Supplies

Welcome to a new fun challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog!! Everyone is back to school (or work), so it's time for a matching challenge here. We want to see a project where you use school supplies!
For my card this week I've used "Study Owl" and I've put 4 pencils as a frame around my image. ( I got them at a really cheap store.) I also put 2 paperclips as a decoration on my card.

You can use any image you want but using a Meljen's Designs will give you an extra entry into the prize drawing.
Be sure to visit the shop because Melissa gave it a wonderful make-over!! I love the new shop!! You also get a 50% discount in september on everything in the shop!!

MD #224 Hanging out!

Welcome to another fun challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog! This time our new challenge is "Hanging Out": At least one element should hang off the edge of the project.

For this week I've used "Firefly Fairy" and fuzzycutted her and replaced the wig in her hand with wire. On this wire I've put the glass ball with the firefly back. It's not quite clear in the picture but I've put some Glossy Accents on it to give it more of a glasslook.

As every week you've got the chance to win 2 images, but don't forget to use an image of Meljen's Designs or else you won't be in the drawing for the prizes.
