MD #234 Peek-a-Boo!!

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to a new fangtastic challenge on the Meljen's Designsteam and Challengeblog!!!
This week: "Peek-a-Boo", use a hidden message or element on your project.
Because it's almost Halloween, I made a Halloweencard, I love Halloween!!
I've used "Vampy Witch" on my card and Melissa was inspired to draw her when she saw Hotel Transylvania with a cute girl called Mavis in it. Absolutely one of my favourite movies to watch!!
My hidden element can be found behind the image. I've put a little magnet in it so it doesn't fall open by itself.

Goodstuff

Een layout die ik vorige week tijdens het scrapweekend met mijn vriendinnen begonnen was maar nog niet helemaal af had. Van de week heb ik hem verder afgemaakt.
Ik heb een oudere sketch van Sketchabilities gebruikt waar ik niet aan toe gekomen was om te maken. Verder heb ik het moodboard van Scrap Around The World gebruikt. Het moodboard van deze maand paste perfect bij mijn foto voor wat betreft de kleuren. Verder nog wat inspiratie gehaald uit de bling en de vlinders.
Foto is gemaakt door Gemma Clarke, die die dag mee was als sidekick voor mijn man Richard die fotografeerde op de bruiloft van mijn beste vriendin Michelle. Tussendoor even een foto van ons samen gemaakt door Gemma.
Ik mocht die dag getuige zijn en dat vond ik zo bijzonder. We hebben elkaar leren kennen door het scrappen en inmiddels is dit een hele hechte vriendschap geworden met als kers op de taart dat ik dus getuige mocht op deze bijzondere dag.

My take on the moodboard of this month at Scap Around The World. I've used the colours as my inspiration because they fitted perfectly with my picture. Also used the butterflies and the bling on my layout.

DT day at Meljen's Designs

Hi everyone!
I was thinking what I could make for you to show here and then I remembered Melissa made some adorable sugarskulls.
I love sugarskulls as long as I can remember. My birthday is november 1st so that's where the love is coming from. As a kid I found out that they celebrate Dia de los Muertos on november 1st so I always wanted to live in Mexico to celebrate my birthday LOL
I made some gift tags with these cute sugarskulls. You can find them in the digital shop of Meljen's Designs here, here and here. These tags were really easy to make. I've used different spray inks and a mask with modelling paste to make the texture.

Amazing

Dit weekend een heerlijk scrapweekendje gehad met een aantal vriendinnen. Ondanks dat ik nog steeds met een tennisarm zit, heb ik toch wat uit mijn handen gekregen. (Het leek de goede kant op te gaan met mijn arm, maar helaas is er toch weer een soort van terugval. Ik houd de moed erin dat het toch een keer echt moet overgaan. :) )
Ik heb deze layout gescrapt met een foto die van de zomer is gemaakt door Gemma Clarke, een Australische fotograaf. Zij heeft een paar dagen bij ons gelogeerd in juni en als dank kregen wij een familyshoot waarvan dit een van de foto's is. Ik vind dit zo'n mooie foto van mijn zoon, dus die moest gescrapt worden. Ik heb sketch #124 van Sketchabilities gebruikt want dat blijven toch wel mijn favorieten om te gebruiken.

Made this layout with sketch #124 of Sketchabilities. On the picture my son and this lovely image is made by Gemme Clarke, an international photographer. She stayed a couple of days with us in june, and as a thank you we've got a familyshoot, which this picture is one of the pictures made.
